Who is eligible for ODSP?
To be eligible for ODSP, your client will need to:
- Live in Ontario
- Be in financial need
- Meet the definition of a person with a disability
The specific amount of financial assistance provided to someone will depend on their individual circumstances, including things like their income, assets, housing costs, etc. If the recipient has a spouse and/or children/dependants, they can also receive support on their behalf, and this will be taken into consideration when calculating how much money someone can get from ODSP.
