How can trusted intermediaries help clients?

As a trusted intermediary, you can help your clients in a variety of ways. You can:

  • Help identify the legal issue an individual is experiencing (for more information, see: “How can you spot current or potential civil legal issues?
  • Provide basic information about legal rights and procedures (for more information, see “What is the difference between legal information and legal advice?”)
  • Assist with gathering legal forms and documents
  • Refer clients to sources of legal information, advice and representation
  • Accompany clients to a court hearing 
  • Accompany clients to meet with legal service providers
  • Work with legal service providers to make sure your clients receive focused and efficient support and resources while also making sure their unique needs and circumstances are taken into account
